Igor Hereda Simões is from Salvador-Bahia. Born on January 5, 1993, he started taking guitar lessons at the age of 10 and was the first student of Bahian guitar at Escolinha de Guitarra Baiana Osmar Macêdo in 2005. Over the years, in his musical career, he has won partners and friends, as influential names in music: Armandinho Macêdo, Yonsen Maia, Júlio Caldas, among many others. Finally in 2010, he launched himself as a professional artist and composer, inaugurating the project “Igor Hereda plays” on youtube, in which he presents covers of different musical styles based on research, studies and experiences with instrumental music.

It does not stop there! Among the illustrious names of the song, now on an international level, the musician won the contest at Rádio Rock Freeday to play in a jam session with Steve Vai, in 2015, showing him the sound of the Bahian guitar and exchanging ideas with the virtuoso guitarist behind the scenes of the event. This moment even served as an inspiration to launch a Bahian guitar with an authorial model, which culminated in 2017 with the Bahian guitar IHGB6 - IGOR HEREDA SIGNATURE, which has the sixth string as a differential element of the traditional 4 and 5 string models . Currently, in addition to being a musical educator of authorial courses on acoustic guitar, guitar and Bahian guitar, Igor Hereda performs shows and continues recording his first authorial CD, showing that the Bahian guitar goes through different rhythms than just frevo.
